Love Like No Other

Love Like No Other

My oh my!!! His love, the first part. Where it all began, my Story for His Glory! To know Him is to know love—true, authentic, never-ending love. It’s not the watered-down, halfhearted version we often see in the world, but a deep, unconditional, eternal love. A love so pure that it pursues, captivates, and covers. We love because He first loved us—and not just with any kind of love, but with a love that leaves no room for doubt, a love that is jealous for every part of us.

Now let’s talk about jealousy—a word that often gets a bad rep. When we hear it, we think of selfishness, insecurity, or envy. But jealousy can be both righteous and unrighteous, holy and unholy. And when it comes to God, His jealousy isn’t rooted in insecurity—it’s rooted in devotion, protection, and a passionate desire for us.

Think about it this way: When you’re in a relationship—whether dating, engaged, or married—you desire exclusivity. You want your partner’s full attention. Distractions, divided time, or emotional distance can stir up jealousy—not because you don’t love them, but because you do. You crave connection, intimacy, and presence.

Or picture a baby with their parent. Everything’s fine until Mommy or Daddy starts giving attention to someone else. Then the kicking and screaming begins. Why? Because that baby desires their parent’s undivided attention and care.

These are worldly reflections of jealousy. But God’s jealousy? Oh, it’s different. It’s holy. It’s a zeal, a burning passion to guard what He cherishes—us. He doesn’t need to be jealous the way we do—He created us, we are His. His jealousy is a demonstration of His commitment to protect us, provide for us, and remain devoted to us. He is saying, “You are My priority. Make Me yours.”

And just like in marriage, where our spouse is second only to God, He reminds us that He must come first. Not second. Not “fit Him in when we can.” First. Because anything we place before Him—be it people, passions, careers, or comforts—becomes an idol.

During the 2020 pandemic, many of us cried out for more of Him. With the world shut down, we had time to seek His face like never before. There were no concerts, no travel, no distractions. It was just us and God. Some sought Him out of fear, unsure of what tomorrow would bring. Others sought Him because they finally recognized—He is the Priority. The One who protects, who provides, and who never changes.

But here’s the real question: Are we still in that place? Or did we go back to picking up idols once? We get upset when a concert is canceled or our favorite show doesn’t air, but are we grieved when we miss time with God? When our relationship with Him becomes casual, compromised, or convenient?

He’s not in competition with our calendar. He’s not fighting for our scraps. He is calling us back. Back to a LOVE LIKE NO OTHER.

A love that doesn’t fade.

A love that doesn’t share.

A love that protects, pursues, and prioritizes YOU.

Let’s make Him first again. Let’s return to the One who never left. He’s calling you deeper. He’s calling you to a love like no other.

  2. This was really sweet and a beautiful reminder. It’s broken down enough for any age to understand and deep enough to convict even those that been walking with Him for years. Like we really allow life to have us forget how much HE loves us and HIS love outweighs alllll of life cares! Keep letting Him use you Sissy, I see you handling Kingdom business 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
